The GP-4G01 has the following special features and limitations.

GP-4G01 does not have a COM2 port. For this model, replace references to "COM2 port" with "HMI port" in any descriptions in this manual or messages.
To monitor and operate the screen, use either Pro-face Remote HMI or GP-Viewer EX.
37.18.1.6 Remote Viewer - Pro-face Remote HMI
37.1 Use GP-Viewer EX to Display and Operate Display Unit Data over a Network
In the [Display] settings, when [Orientation] is set to [Portrait] use Pro-face Remote HMI. GP-Viewer EX does not support portrait orientation.
By using Pro-face Remote HMI, you can check for errors and use the maintenance menu.
From the [System Settings] open [Display Unit], click [Remote Viewer], and from [Pro-face Remote HMI] select the [Enable] check box.
You can use the HMI port only when the [Use Gateway Mode] check box is selected. Use this feature when the unit is connected to a host device.
For COM1/PLC port communication, set up [Device/PLC] setting's [SIO Type] as well as the display unit's [RS-232C/RS-422 Switch].
To restart the GP-4G01, use a switch on the display unit. For more details, please refer to the following.
40.1.5 Operation that uses the Eject Switch - GP-4G01
When there is an error, touch either the [USB storage eject switch] or [SD card eject switch] to restart the GP-4G01.
