8.14.5 Common Settings (Symbol Variables) Settings Guide
The following explains how to register variables. For symbol registration procedures, refer to the following.
8.8.1 Procedure - Registering Symbol Variables
From the [Common Settings (R)] menu, select [Symbol Variable (V)]. The following window appears.
Double-click a cell in the [Name] column to enter a name. (For example, Switch1)
Click a cell in the [Type] column to select [Bit Variable].

To set up an array, select the cell in the [Array] column, and double-click the cell in the [Count] column to enter the Array Size. (For example, 5)

If you do not want to delete a variable's data after turning off the display unit, click and select the associated cell in the [Retentive] column.
When the [Type] is [PID Variable], variables are always retentive.

Double-click a cell in the [Comment] column to enter a comment.

30.7.3 Symbol Variable Comments
You can make changes to registered variables only when they are used in the logic program. You can delete variables that are not used on any screen.
To delete, select the symbol variable and click or press Delete.
