Save in
Select the save destination for backup data from the following.
Folder
On exiting WinGP and on the timing defined by the [Save Condition], data is saved to the [Historical Data Storage Location]. Up to 5 MB of data can be saved.
However, data is not saved if you turn off the display unit*1 without shutting down the operating system. The saved backup data is from the previous save operation. To reliably save the data, run the shutdown operation.
SRAM
Saves up to the backup memory capacity of the model you are using. Data is saved even if the display unit*1 power is turned OFF without running the operating system shut down operation.
For details about backup memory (SRAM), please see the following.
2.3 About the Display Unit's Internal Data
To check the backup memory (SRAM) usage, from the [Project (F)] menu, point to [Information (I)], select [Project Information (I)], and then select [SRAM Information].
Historical Data Storage Location
Specifies the full path to the location to save backup data (including the drive and folder names). This location replaces the functionality of the backup memory (SRAM). Set up a path up to 255 single-byte characters long.
If you do not set a path, it is saved to the "NAND\PRJ001\USER\SCREEN" folder, which is located under the WinGP installation folder.
If you are using a Windows Embedded machine, you can set the write filter (write protection) on drives installed with the operating system. If the Write Filter setting is enabled, specify a drive path that does not have Write Filter set.
Save Condition
Selects a condition to execute backup from [Frequency], [Bit ON], or [Bit Change].
Frequency
Backs up the data as specified in [Loop Update Time].
Bit ON
Backs up the data only when the bit specified in [Control Bit Address] turns ON. The data is saved only after 1 minute has elapsed since the last save.
Bit Change
Backs up the data only when the bit specified in [Control Bit Address] turns ON. The data is saved only after 1 minute has elapsed since the last save.
Frequency
Specifies the loop update time to repeat backup when [Frequency] is selected in [Backup Trigger] using 1 to 60 minutes.
Control Bit Address
Specifies the address to control backup when [Bit ON] or [Bit Change] is selected in [Backup Trigger].
Indicate Write Status
Specifies whether to use the bit address to show the backup data write status.
Status Address
The backup data write status is shown by ON and OFF of the bit address specified here.
ON
Writing data
OFF
Writing no data
