There are two ways to convert to a previous version, either use the Version Reverter or use GP-Pro EX.
Converting using GP-Pro EX
Project files can be versioned down on GP-Pro EX.

Converting using the version reverter
Even if GP-Pro EX is not installed, project files can be versioned down.
3.8.2 Procedure - Converting the project file to a previous version using the Version Reverter
To convert a project file that was created with a previous vesion to the current version, open the project file with the current version of GP-Pro EX.3.4 Working with Projects - Open / Edit Screen / Save
The version that can be converted is version 3.00 and above.
