- This file is only for PL-X920 Series. Please do not use it for other models.
- If the System Monitor has already been registered in the start-up menu, the error message of a double start is displayed at OS start. In that case, please delete System Monitor registered in the start-up menu.

Description Contains the RAS/System Monitor update.
Update Description
1. The following issues were corrected
 
- Increases in memory usage of the System Monitor increases.
- The Power Option in the control panel could not be set when using the System Monitor for a long time with SoftMirror.
- The processing of System Monitor stopped while displaying a message of remote RAS communication error.
- When there were two or more network devices, it becomes Auto even if the first device was selected by setting of remote RAS.
- When starting System Monitor Propenty again, error action of WDT could be set even if Reset was enabled.
2. Restrictions:
 
- Administrator authority is required for executing SMART Monitoring.
- Only hard disks connected with IDE can be monitored by SMART.
The state of a hard disk connected with USB or SCSI cannot be monitored.
- CF cards do not support SMART and therefore the status of CF cards cannot be monitored.
- When PL-SM900 (softmirror utility) Rev.C or earlier is used, SMART cannot be monitored.
  In this case, please download and install the PL-SM900 update module.
- Windows®95 and Windows®98 don't support SMART Monitoring function.
- When Digital's optional hard disk or the revisions shown in the table below are not used, operation of SMART Monitoring cannot be guaranteed.

3. This update will make the version of PL_SMON.EXE 4.01 --> 4.02.
  If the version is PL_SMON.EXE 4.02 or higher, it is not necessary to execute this update.
The file exists in C:\Proface\Sysmon folder.
Version information can be checked by referring to the version in file properties.

Installation (This file is self-extracting.)
1. Download "PLX920_SysmonUpdate20051206.exe"
Click on "PLX920_SysmonUpdate20051206.exe" and download the data to the desired folder on your PC.
 
* If the update module cannot be downloaded to the PL-X920 unit, please download temporarily to the another PC, and copy the module to the PL-X920 unit where you want to install the module.
2. Exit System Monitor if it is running.
3. Double-click the downloaded file "PLX920_SysmonUpdate20051206.exe".
4. Update starts automatically.
5. Reboot the system after installation.

1. The following issues were corrected:
 
- When System Monitor started in Windows(R)XP, the icon is not registered in the task tray.
2. The following settings were added:
 
- Support Remote RAS function, and integrated functions in Remote RAS System Monitor which was available in another version (Version 4.00).
- An error pop up message displayed again.
- The text of the error pop up message was changed to red.
- The SMART monitoring function of HDD support following revisions of products.

[March.9.2004]
1. The following issues were corrected:
 
- The Reset button does not become effective when the data backup is not completed.
- The task tray icon is displayed as "Administrator" in Soft Mirror use.
- Status change of Soft Mirror is not reflected.
- It may not be able to start if it registered to "start" menu.
- A check message is not displayed even if it cancels setting change of the System Monitor property.
- It will become a blue screen when shut down WindowsNT®.
2. With this update, applications with the following version are provided.
 
- System Monitor --> PL_SMON.EXE 3.01 --> 3.02
- System Monitor Property --> PL_WPS.EXE 3.02 --> 3.03
