Pass-Through Function

Please see below for required drivers and the system requirements to use the pass-through function.

Please refer to [Pass-Through Function Guide] for installation or settings of the pass-through function.

The following GPP function software packages are required.

note

When using iQ-R/F Ethernet(SLMP Client), the following limitations apply.

- Pass-Through Function can be used only when the display is connected to the Ethernet Port on CPU unit.

- You cannot connect External Devices from the same series (iQ-R or iQ-F) at the same time. However, you can connect 1 device each from iQ-R and iQ-F series at the same time.

- Set up 120 secords or more for GX Works3's [Check at Communication Time]. Additionally, set the GP-Pro EX [Timeout] to 60 seconds or more.

- When using a hub, GX Works3 may generate the following error, "Unable to communicate with PLC."

- When GP-3200 series, GP-3300 series, and LT3000 series are connected with the MP3000 series, the ladder program cannot be read out with the pass-through function.

- If a communication error occurs in the engineering tool while using the pass-through function, increase the amount of time in the driver's [Timeout] field.

- If High Performance Unit is written by the Pass Through Function, response of Link Unit temporarily stops and an error may be displayed on the Display.

- During [Transfer to PLC] and [Read from PLC] on the Ladder Support Software, the communications with the Display may be temporarily interrupted.

- When using the pass-through function, use the same value for the communication speed between the ladder software and the Display.
When the setting value is different, the communication speed between the External Device and the Display is changed to the setting value for the ladder software. To restore the changed communication settings, restart the Display.

- Windows 7 (64 bit) is supported only when KV STUDIO is used.

The following programming tool software is required.

Control FPWIN GR Ver.2.30 or higher

- When using Pass-Through function, it is necessary to connect Display to Tool port of the control unit.

- "C-NET (RS232C)" needs to be selected for [Network type] in the [Communication Settings].

- "Station home" or "C-NET" needs to be selected for [Network selection] in the [Specify Station No.]. However, select "C-NET" when you use Control FPWIN GR Ver. 2.30.

- During [Upload from PLC] and [Download to PLC] on the Programming Tool Software, the communications with the Display may be temporarily interrupted.

TOSHIBA MACHINE CO.,LTD.

TC Series (TCmini/TC200)

The following programming software is required.

TCPRGOS-W Ver.2.27 or higher

TCPRGOS-W Ver.2.30 or higher

note

- In the 1:n connection, the Eternal Device to be connected with is specified using the programming software. For a Pass-Through configuration tool, specify the External Device directly to be connected.

- Please refer to TOSHIBA MACHINE CO.,LTD. for the model that can use the Pass-Through Function.
