33.6.5 External PLC Simulator Settings Guide

[External PLC Simulator Connection] dialog box displays when the following operating environment is set up.

33.5.1 Operating Environment

Connects with an external PLC simulator.

Sets a connection between GP-Pro EX and the external PLC simulator.
Select to check display unit operations with the PLC.

Please select the equipment that will be connecting to the external PLC simulator.

Select the name of the driver for simulation.
From [Project] menu, point to [System Settings] and click [Device/PLC] to open the dialog box. Select the driver from the [Manufacturer] and [Series] lists.

Select the device name associated with the driver selected in the [Device/PLC] setting.
To specify a [Device Name], from the [Project] menu point to [System Settings] and click [Device/PLC], and then Scroll down to [Device-Specific Settings].

Select Connection Type

You can set up when the [Connects with an external PLC simulator] check box is selected.

The supported CPUs are different depending on the device/PLC manufacturer you are using.

Type

Select the CPU type for the external PLC simulator.

CPU

Select the CPU model for the external PLC simulator.
